Welcome

The Parish Church of All Saints’ East Meon (Church of England) welcomes Christians of all traditions and backgrounds and all those searching for meaning and truth in today’s complex world.

Our Sunday worship is centred on the Eucharist, but our services cover a variety of styles, contemporary and traditional, formal and informal. We appreciate the importance of music and we have a small but enthusiastic choir, and a fine modern organ. Our ring of ten bells is of national importance.

Our historic and beautiful church is open in daylight hours for prayer and reflection.

We have a wide age range across our regular congregation, with a thriving Sunday Club and a well-attended Family Service on the first Sunday of the month. At Christmas, Easter, Harvest and Remembrance, the church (seating 250) is usually full.
Church members are involved in the rich life of the village community. We have a close relationship with East Meon (Church of England Controlled) Primary School.

We work in partnership with our neighbouring parish of Langrish, with whom we share our vicar, and we have strong links with St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ayifuah, Cape Coast, Ghana and the outstation of St. Cyprian’s, Efutu Koforidua.

The Christian Faith

Christians believe in one God, who created the universe and all living things.

God became a human being in Jesus Christ, who in his life showed us how to live, and through his death and resurrection brought us salvation.

God is living and active in the world and in the church today through the power of the Holy Spirit.

God calls us to work for the building up of his Kingdom.

This is our faith, but even if you do not share it, you are most welcome to visit the church and to worship with us

Finding Faith Today

People often describe the Christian life as a journey to describe the way that we meet with God, recognise him for who he is and respond to his love throughout our lives.

Being a Christian is not an easy option. That is why it is important to be part of a church community where we can worship with others, where our faith can grow and where we can learn from the faith and example of others.
The Church of England

All Saints’ Church, East Meon is a Church of England church. The Church of England is part of the Anglican Communion, which reaches across 161 different countries and includes over 70 million individual members.

Anglicans trace their history back to the early Church and to the Bible itself. However, the modern form of the Anglican Church came out of the religious reformations of the 16th century, when the Church in England broke its ties with the Church of Rome.
