The Parish Council is elected every four years - the most recent election was in 2007.

Its Chairman and Deputy Chair are elected each year in May the current Chairman is Alan Redpath (pictured in the next column) and the Deputy Chair is Philippa Tyrwhitt Drake. The Clerk to the Parish is Sarah Cowlrick whom you can contact .....email>>

The Council meets 8 times a year on a Thursday morning in the Village Hall. Residents are invited to attend but may only join in the proceedings if invited by the Chair.

The Council met on September 11th 2008. Among other topics, the Council considered an application to fund a new cricket pavilion.

The Council held its AGM in April on April 23rd 2008 in the Village Hall.

The guest speaker was Ian Whyte, Community Relations Manager of the A3 Hindhead tunnel and reports were also given by the new Head of East Meon Church of England Primary School and on the Village Greening Campaign... More>>
