Meon Matters is published every two months and distributed to all households in East Meon. It is edited by an Editorial Board led by Marc Atkinson

Contributions are welcomed from villagers. The deadline is the 10th of the month before publication and they can be left at the East Meon Stores. The magazine depends on advertising revenues and donations.....

East Meon Garden Club is an active society which organises two Gardens Open Days, in April and June, seven evening meetings, a plant sale (above), two visits to interesting gardens and the opportunity to buy seeds and plants, fertilisers and bulbs at discounted prices.

It also runs a Plant Sale and the annual Flower Show. Membership is £5 per annum.This area of the website contains the Annual Schedule of Meetings and Outings, pictures and notices of the two Open Gardens events each year, the Plant Sale, the Annual Show and useful contacts. In association with Hampshire Moviola, East Meon Cinema screens movies in the Village Hall on one Friday each month from September to April. Seats cost £5.00 each and are available from the East Meon Stores.

The village has embarked on a campaign to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, conserve energy and save costs.

In association with the Sustainability Centre, East Meon is to become the first village in East Hampshire to conduct a campaign to conserve energy and help prevent global warming. Each household is invited to complete a scorecard listing actions. ..... More>>

 
All Saints Church has a fine-sounding 18cwt ring of 10 bells, the oldest giong back to 1729. Ringers come from all parts of the country to ring our bells while East Meon has its own dedicated band of ringers who practice on Friday evenings, ring for Sunday Service and other special occasions
