Ye Olde George Inn is a traditional pub with an excellent restaurant and five bed and breakfast rooms. It has been an East Meon pub since the 15th century. Today it is owned by Hall and Woodhouse, the Dorset brewers, and is a landmark village building.

2008 saw the previous landlords leave the George and a temporary team ran the pub until September when Petersfield chef Mark Eyre took over the tenancy and set about refurbishing the public rooms. In July 2007 the Izaak Walton was re-opened by Roger and Sue Young, who had run the popular village pub from 1990 - 2001..

A spectacular setting offering a taste of the countryside.

Sue Atkinson offers traditional cream teas with scones, jam and clotted cream or home-made cakes on weekends and bank holidays from April to September. This historic house in the heart of East Meon was recently bought by Clive and Jo Tillbrook who live in the adjoining building.

Well over 90% of the Parish indicated in the Parish Plan Survey that the East Meon Stores are 'a very important amenity" for the Community. Cyrus and Janet Khambata run this general store and sub-post office franchise.
